The Riphah Journal of Islamic Thought and Civilization (RJITC) is committed to transparent, ethical, and sustainable scholarly publishing practices. The journal follows internationally recognized standards to ensure accessibility, preservation, and integrity of published research.

Open Access Policy

RJITC is an open-access journal that provides free and unrestricted access to its published research articles. Readers may access, read, download, and share published content for scholarly and educational purposes in accordance with the terms of the journal's licensing policy.

The journal supports open access to knowledge to promote research dissemination and academic collaboration.

Copyright and Licensing Policy

Authors retain copyright ownership of their published work.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • the work is original and has not been published elsewhere;
  • necessary permissions have been obtained for any copyrighted material included in the manuscript; and
  • the submission does not violate the rights of any third party.

All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) License.

This license allows users to share and adapt the published material for non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

Authors publishing with Riphah Journal of Islamic Thought and Civilization (RJITC) retain copyright ownership of their published work. The journal does not require authors to transfer copyright.

By submitting and publishing an article in RJITC, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication to publish, distribute, and archive the article in print and electronic formats.

Authors are free to share their published articles through institutional repositories, personal websites, and other academic platforms in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons license.

Privacy Policy

RJITC respects the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.

Personal information collected through the journal website and Online Journal System (OJS), including names, email addresses, affiliations, ORCID iDs, and other submission-related information, is used only for:

  • manuscript submission and processing;
  • peer review management;
  • editorial communication;
  • publication and indexing purposes; and
  • maintaining the academic record of the journal.

The journal does not sell, share, or disclose personal information to unauthorized third parties.

During the peer review process, author and reviewer identities are kept confidential according to the journal's double-blind peer review policy.

Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy

Riphah Journal of Islamic Thought and Civilization (RJITC) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of its published scholarly content. The journal maintains digital archives through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and supports long-term preservation by depositing published content in the Internet Archive. These archiving and preservation practices help safeguard the integrity, accessibility, and permanence of the scholarly record for future researchers.

Repository Policy

Riphah Journal of Islamic Thought and Civilization (RJITC) encourages the dissemination and preservation of scholarly research. Authors may deposit the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, personal websites, or other non-commercial academic platforms, provided that the original publication in RJITC is properly acknowledged.

When depositing their work, authors should include the complete bibliographic citation and, where possible, a link to the official version of the article published on the RJITC website. Repository deposit should not alter the published version or remove the journal's copyright and licensing information.

DOI Policy

RJITC assigns a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to published articles through an authorized DOI registration agency.

DOIs provide permanent identification and reliable access to published research.

Publication Frequency

RJITC is a bi-annual journal, publishing two issues annually:

  • January–June
  • July–December

Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy

RJITC currently does not charge authors any:

  • submission fees;
  • article processing charges (APCs); or
  • publication fees.

Any future changes to publication charges will be announced transparently on the journal website.

Submission Agreement

By submitting a manuscript to RJITC, authors confirm that:

  • the manuscript is original and unpublished;
  • it is not under consideration by another journal;
  • all authors have approved the submission;
  • authorship information provided through the OJS Contributors section is accurate;
  • the research complies with ethical standards; and
  • the authors grant RJITC the right to publish, distribute, archive, and make the article available under the journal's licensing terms.

Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their submitted work.
