Abstract

Gender determination has evolved significantly over time, transitioning from traditional observational methods to advanced modern scientific techniques. This study explores the methodologies of gender identification, comparing traditional cultural practices with contemporary medical technologies, such as ultrasound and genetic testing. Furthermore, the research examines these methods through the lens of Islamic jurisprudence, evaluating their ethical, legal, and theological implications. This study has adopted the analytical approach to reach on the conclusion. The study underscores the importance of aligning technological advancements with the principles of Shariah, addressing concerns of privacy, morality, and societal impact. By bridging traditional knowledge and modern science, this research provides a comprehensive understanding of gender determination practices and their alignment with Islamic values.
