Ihsan Commitment: A New Concept Workplace Commitment in Islamic Perspective

Purpose: This study suggests a new commitment concept in workplace within the perspective of Islam that is rooted on Ihsan values.
Methodology: Qualitative analysis of previous studies on the importance of incorporating Ihsan values into workplace commitments.
Findings: Ihsan Commitment is a new concept in workplace commitment and filling the existing gaps.
Significance: This study contributes to the development of a commitment concept in an Islamic perspective. The result of this study provides insight and a contemporary concept in building organizational commitment for increasing participation and organizational performance. The spirit and goal orientation that is built within this commitment is the spirit of tawhid faith and al falah as a comprehensive goal.
Limitations: As a new concept, measurement and validation scales still need to be developed
Implications: The concept of Ihsan commitment is hoped to offer a strong commitment founded on the spirit of faith and a wider goal within work activities in building commitment that is al falah: to maintain religion, spirit, mentality, descendants and possessions. Ihsan commitment is hoped to motivate a high degree of employee engagement and organizational performance
